FUEL9/10 Welcomes Austin Payne!

Hello Parents of Fuel 9/10!

I hope this note finds you well and enjoying the beginning of your weekend! My name is Austin Payne and I have the immense privilege of being the new 9/10 Pastor at North Coast Church! You are receiving this email because your son or daughter most likely attends our ministry and I want to be intentional not only with students, but also with you!

I look forward to getting to know you more in the near future, and want to make myself as available as I can be for you and your students. There will be a meet and greet with both your student’s small group leader and myself in the next couple weeks so stay tuned for details on that!! I would love to have you come and meet the leader that is pouring into your student on a weekly basis, as well as have the opportunity to introduce myself.

In the meantime, a little bit about me:

I was born in California, but when I was seven years old my family moved down to Quito, Ecuador as missionaries. I spent the next eleven years of my life in Quito and graduated from high school at Alliance Academy before moving back to California to attend Biola University! I absolutely loved growing up in Quito and am very thankful for the experiences I gained from living in South America! I had a pet monkey as a kid, traveled extensively in the Amazon jungle and am now fluent in Spanish, all thanks to the beautiful country of Ecuador! I graduated from Biola University in May of 2014 with a degree in Biblical and Theological studies and went to work for Hume Lake Christian Camps. I worked for Hume Lake for three summers leading recreation and speaking on missions! I spent some time in between those summers as a junior high pastor at Atascadero Bible Church on the central coast, and have worked with my Dad for the last several years with his study abroad program, Living and Learning International. I have run all state side university relations and student recruiting for this program for the last 2 years, which has allowed me to travel extensively and see the world! Check out our website at landli.org if you want to see more on that program! I would love to tell you more of my story and hear yours in the near future!

Thank you so much for allowing your student to be a part of FUEL 9/10! I am so excited about what God is currently doing in and through our ministry and I look forward to getting to know you and your students!!

Best,

Austin Payne
